This is a eview of the PROFUNDUS study which provides prospective, multinational real-world evidence on upadacitinib in patients with moderately-to-severely active ulcerative colitis. The interim results of the PROFUNDUS study complement trial findings from U-ACHIEVE, U-ACCOMPLISH, and U-ACTIVATE which are described in this article, along with their strengths and limitations.
