Professor Simone Strasser

Professor Simone Strasser Head of Department and Senior Staff Specialist in the AW Morrow Gastroenterology and Liver Centre, and the Australian National Liver Transplant Unit at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and the
University of Sydney. She has a major clinical and research interest in a broad spectrum of liver diseases including
viral hepatitis, advanced liver disease, liver cancer and liver transplantation. She is Director of Hepatology Clinical Trials at RPAH and is site principal investigator on multiple clinical trials of new therapies for hepatitis C and B, NAFLD and liver cancer. She is a regular speaker in national and local educational programmes for specialists, general practitioners, and other health care workers in many aspects of liver disease. She has received speaker fees and serves on advisory boards for Abbvie, Chiesi, CSL Behring, Gilead, Pfizer, Novo-Nordisk, Roche and Norgine. Her publications include many book chapters and over 200 publications in peer reviewed journals.
