Educational Series – Managing hyperkalaemia in Australian clinical practice

We’re delighted to add our latest Educational Series titled: Managing hyperkalaemia in Australian clinical practice. Hyperkalaemia, defined as serum potassium ≥5.5 mmol/L, is a common electrolyte disorder with potentially life-threatening consequences, particularly in patients with chronic kidney disease and heart failure.

This educational review aims to provide clinicians with an up-to-date overview of managing chronic hyperkalaemia in adult patients. It also includes guiding commentary from Sree Krishna Venuthurupalli, a Consultant Nephrologist at West Moreton Health and an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Queensland.
